Davis College had an excellent week in terms of Leaving Cert results. Sean Kelleher achieved maximum points 625 which is a significant achievement for any student or school. Hot on his heels was Kate O’Keeffe who secured 613 points and not too far behind was Gaelcholaiste student Aine Kelleher who got 601 points. From there on, the story only got better with no less than twenty students breaking the 500 point barrier and a collection more in the high 400s. In LCA four students achieved Distinctions, Jasmine Cusack, Ava Kirk, Eamonn O’Brien and Chris Timpson.

Davis College Yearbook

Covid put an end to a whole range of traditional rites of passage for the Leaving Cert class of 2020. There was little we could do but a group of staff decided that the Leaving Certs of 2020 deserved more than just a socially distanced wave goodbye. In this context the idea of a year book was born. Contributions were sought from staff and pupils and having collated the entire book, it was provided free to students to mark the end of their time in Davis College. While we did not get to meet students on the day of the results we have arranged for students to collect their year book in a socially distanced environment. This gave us all a chance to catch up with our students who have been part of our lives for so long. It also gave closure for students who are moving on to College, work and careers.
