GUIDANCE & COUNSELLING
Guidance and counselling is a vital element of any school community. In Davis College we are very fortunate to have the services of two full time Guidance Counselors. Counselors make an enormous contribution to the lives of students. They have roles in
- Helping students to feel valued and giving students a sense of belonging
- Preparing students for the workplace - CV preparation/interview skills etc.
- Study skills
- Examination advice
- Subject choice
- Careers classes
- Individual counselling where necessary
- Facilitating Work Experience
A guidance counsellor is assigned to a year group when they enter the school and stay with that group throughout their time in the College thereby getting to know each student well over the six years.
