College Facilities
Davis College continues to celebrate the decision of the Department of Education and Skills to build a €9.7m, 5000 square metre extension that has more than doubled the size of the existing building and will radically transform the Davis College campus. In essence, the new building has become the heart of the school. The existing building has also undergone substantial investment with new flooring and painting throughout.
The PE department is to benefit substantially with the addition of a football pitch and outdoor court areas. Inside, their space is also set to increase as the existing Art room is to be converted in a multipurpose space for dance and exercise.
The new building itself contains Science laboratories, Construction and Engineering workshops, computer suites, two new Art rooms and two DCG suites and a library as well a series of general classrooms and resource rooms. In addition, there is a special need unit which will be a dedicated ASD support classroom. All rooms are fitted with short throw data projectors and computers.
